Cycling at Sherwood

Sherwood is criss-crossed with a series of well-managed bridleways that cyclists can use.

Sustrans route 6, which links London to the Lake District, runs along the western edge of the reserve.

It’s a great way to explore the forest, but you will be sharing some routes with walkers, horse riders, wheelchair users, families and dogs.

Please stick to the bridleway routes and observe the markers which tell you where cycling is not permitted, particularly along the Major Oak trail, which is especially busy with families.
